Cameron is the eldest of five children and due to the cost of living, their parents are always working, trying to make ends meet to support their family, thus forcing Cameron to take responsibility of their younger siblings. Instructed to stay within city limits and to never venture beyond the border, Cameron has always been wary, yet curious, of the outside world. But when Cameron’s younger sibling, Judah, becomes ill and the local doctor has nothing to help him, Cameron is sent on a journey to find “the Medicine Man.” Their journey is challenging, both physically and mentally, as their previous notions of the outside world and its inhabitants are suddenly called into question.
